Crime prevention

We are working closely with members of the Crime Reduction Partnership to make our towns safer places. In 2008 we re-launched the Shopwatch Radio scheme.

Being a member of the Shopwatch Radio scheme gives you:

• Direct contact with the CCTV camera operations centre
• Direct contact with police
• Direct contact with other radio users
• Monthly updates of photos of known offenders
• Updates on the latest crime statistics
• Membership window stickers as a deterrent to offenders
• Regular networking meetings for information sharing and guest speakers

We have a radio in our offices as do the Kirklees Community Rangers and the police, together we are working towards safer and crime free town centres.
