In Bloom
Each year we enter Batley and Dewsbury into the regional Yorkshire In Bloom competition, in 2009 we were delighted to win the silver award for both towns; this year we are going for gold!
In Bloom is about everyone working together to create floral displays and gardens; we work with volunteers, businesses, community groups and Kirklees Council to enter the awards which look at various projects and displays in the area.
Recognition from the judges for our efforts is only one of the benefits of entering the competition; In Bloom also keeps public areas, gardens and business and shop premises looking attractive to visitors and residents and generally makes Batley and Dewsbury more appealing places to spend time in.
