21st and 22nd June 2008 Carnival 4 Life returns to Batley

Batley's much loved Carnival returns - BIGGER BRIGHTER AND BOLDER for 2008.

This year's event promises to be even more fun than previous years with a feast of entertainment in Batley town centre and Wilton Park.

Don't miss the colourful entertainment on stage to include music and dance from around the world along with the fabulous Carnival Processions.

Cooking demonstrations with a healthy eating flair will tempt your taste buds along with the sights, sounds and smells of a colourful Global Market brought by Bradford Markets.

Our Carnival X Factor competition last year certainly showed that Batley had talent and this year we bring you our competition to once again find the most talented entertainer in the area "Batley's Got Talent".

This year, for the first time we will also be holding competitions to find the best dressed people in the Carnival processions. We are looking for a Carnival Prince and Princess and King and Queen! So get inspired - it's not too early to start making those costumes now!
