Green towns

We work closely with the council and local businesses to make sure that Batley and Dewsbury are clean and green places to live, work and visit.

Green Business Awards

We run an awards scheme called Green Business Awards, which encourages businesses to keep their premises neat and tidy as well as demonstrate their commitment to reducing their impact on the environment. If you run a local business and are interested to know more about these awards, please visit the Green Business and In Bloom.

Helping you to live a greener life

If you are interested in finding out how you can live a greener life in Batley and Dewsbury, please visit the Green Living section on Kirklees Council's which includes information on calculating your carbon footprint, growing your own fruit and vegetables and grants for renewable energy in the home.
