Batley Carnival 4 Life

Batley's much loved Carnival returns - BIGGER BRIGHTER AND BOLDER for 2008.

Carnival 4 Life takes place on Saturday 21st June in Batley Town Centre and Sunday 22nd June in Wilton Park on Bradford Road, Batley.

We have a fantastic fun packed agenda for both days featuring - TV celebs, Bollywood Dancers, Samba Bands, Bhangra Music, Mandarin Singers, Musical Gymnasts, the beautiful Batley Bulldogs Cheerleaders, Tai Chi and Live Heathy Cooking Demonstrations with FREE healthy cooking DVD's to take away on the day!

Also in the town will be the ever popular Climbing Wall, a High Ropes Training Course, Archery and many traditional fairground amusements to entertain you all.

Blackpool Donkeys will entertain the young ones whilst the famous Global Market will tempt your senses with wonderful cooking aromas and fabulous crafts from around the world.

Healthy living information stalls will join the market to give out our Carnival 4 Life healthy lifestyle message.

Auditions for this year's Batley's Got Talent competition have been held at The Frontier Nightclub and the FINAL will take place on Saturday 21st June in the town centre with local talent competing for a "star" prize!

At 12.00 p.m. on both days of the event a grand Carnival procession will take place. Each day we will be looking for the best dressed carnival costumes. There will be prizes for the best Carnival King, Queen, Princess and Group.
