Business Focus - Lloyds Pharmacy
Friday 3rd August saw the official open day for the new and improved Lloyds Pharmacy on South Street in Dewsbury town centre. After relocating from the market side of the town to a more convenient position opposite the busy bus station, the outlet is designed to be more accessible and convenient to all.
Jerry Long (Regional Manager) explained "...the new location allows the general public to call in for their prescriptions and then pop into town to shop before calling back later to collect them en-route to the bus station". It was also noted that the new location of the pharmacy was in closer proximity to Dewsbury Health Centre, which will enable good connections and support for all patients and staff.
After a brief tour of the new facilities, it was clear to see the improvements and greater possibilities which the premises had to offer. Some of these include:
- 2 fully equipped and functional private Consultation Rooms
- Free Diabetes and Blood Pressure Tests
- Free Prescription Collection and Delivery service
- Cholesterol tests and advice
- Addicts consultation area and support
- Additional space for expansion of medical storage etc
- Expert healthcare and advice
All of the above along with the friendly, helpful and welcoming staff combine to provide a new and exciting pharmaceutical outlet for Dewsbury, as well as assisting in improving the town centre's business and customer attraction, which is a high priority for Town's Management today.
