Classic Cars Pack Park
More than 50 enthusiastic motorists lined up their historic vehicles in Crow Nest Park on Sunday for the annual classic car show.
With almost double the turnout of cars than last year, the proud owners polished their motors on the lawns in front of Dewsbury Museum.
Mavis Secker, chairwoman of the Friends of Crow Nest Park said 'We couldn't have had a better day. The park was packed with cars and people. It was a real success, the sun was out and we even raised some money for charity at the craft fair held in the museum.'
Many different varieties of cars showed up from Chevrolets to Mercedes and Jaguars to MG BGT's and even a Cadillac.
Norman Coy, events organiser for Yorkshire Thoroughbred Car Club said 'We hold competitions but they're just a bit of fun really. It's mainly an opportunity for car enthusiasts to meet up and show off their cars.'
Jazz band, The Swing of Things entertained visitors as they spoke to owners about their classic models.
The competition for 'the car the judge would most like to take home' went to Eric Bachelor for Austin Healy and runner-up was taken by David Hilliam for his 1951 MG TD.
