Dewsbury Minster Banquet
25 Jul 2007 - Colourful Costume Banquet at Dewsbury Minster
When Paulinus brought Christianity to Dewsbury in AD 627, this was cause for great celebration.
On 22nd June 2007 with The Minster suitably decorated with banners, flowers and historical artefacts, we held a Banquet in commemoration of that event over 1380 years ago.
Guests wore fancy dress ranging from Queen Victoria, and other Royals to knights in armour and 60's mini skirts !
Serving wenches and Paulinus Pilgrims served a 7 course culinary feast of Yorkshire and Lancashire fayre.
Between the courses we were entertained with music & singing, amazed with the wonders of chemistry and enlightened of our heritage.
It was and evening of laughter, wonderful fellowship and praise !
