Yorkshire Day Celebrated in style in Dewsbury Town Centre

In partnership with Mecca Bingo they brought a fashion show to Dewsbury for the Yorkshire Day celebrations. Mecca Bingo staff networked with fashion retailers in the town centre to showcase their clothes and accessories at the fashion show at Mecca on Saturday 2nd August. The fashion show was held in aid of Whizz Kids charity and the clothes were modelled by the Mecca staff and guests. Many trade stands were also present to showcase the goods and services on offer in Dewsbury.

After the show our Town Crier, Laurie Gilbert led the audience into the town centre to participate in a Yorkshire Day treasure hunt around the town centre stores.

Also in town was lively and colourful entertainment from the Pulse Roadshow with a host of local Yorkshire talent including finalists in local talent competitions and performers from the Sarah Sutton School of Performing Arts.
