Bea's Bloomers!

We are very pleased to announce that a new volunteer has joined to help the Towns' Management team to coordinate the entries for both Batley and Dewsbury. Beatrice Myers an erstwhile schoolteacher, is also a volunteer at Oakwell Hall Country Park and an experienced photographer. Bea has a Diploma in horticulture and a further Diploma in garden design.

She has carried out extensive research on seventeenth century gardening, and is part of the team which has restored and maintains the walled garden of Oakwell Hall.

Bea says 'It will certainly be rewarding to be working with motivated colleagues like the Friends of Wilton Park and Joanna Cooney in Batley as well as the Friends of Crow Nest Park and Paul Clapton of Collage Ltd in Dewsbury and of course the Towns' Management Team'.
