Dewsbury Ring Road Environmental Clean Up

An area in front of a local taxi firm which borders onto the ring road in Dewsbury was identified by the In Bloom Team as an area of environmental degradation being strewn with litter and rubbish.

The In Bloom team, along with local community group The Options Centre, volunteers from the Dewsbury Women's Health Group and members of staff from the A1 Taxis set about cleaning up this area with dramatic results.

Teams from Kirklees Cleansing and Kirklees Culture and Leisure Departments have greatly assisted the volunteers by removing an old chain link fence which was in poor repair. They have also finished the litter picking of the area and tidied the shrubs to create a more attractive first impression of the town for people arriving via the railway station and also for people walking and driving along the ring road.
